Higher quality etched parts

At Subcon ACE (Advanced Chemical Etching) is launching its new ACmE and TiME etching processes that give new levels of quality, smoother edge profiles and smoother surfaces.

The ACmE (Aluminium Compliant Molecular Etching) process is kinder to the environment; it produces considerably less waste product, compared to etchants currently being used.  The TiME (Titanium Molecular Etching) process has been developed without resorting to the traditional and potentially hazardous Hydrofluoric acid chemistry.

ACE has invested £1 million this year to double its manufacturing capacity. It has acquired adjacent industrial units and made them ready for the delivery and installation of new production equipment. Known for its high OTIF (on time, in full) delivery levels the company is anxious to maintain its high levels of service by further reducing lead times and improve its quality performance. The expansion has provided the space to enable us to rearrange internal material flows which will inevitably lead to increased efficiency.

ACE is a metal component manufacturer using a process that enables today’s product development engineers greater flexibility in design.  It specialises in rapid turnaround and ultimate net shape machining, reducing the need for traditional finishing.
